Yamaha is dipping a toe into the portable music play market and has launched the portable Cube speaker.

Measuring only 3.5-inches on each side, the cube is designed for PCs, mobile phones, and portable media players.

The Cube promises to deliver audio quality that is usually expected from larger and more expensive speakers. It incorporates Swing Radiator Bass function to maximize internal energy and produce strong bass notes, and also features a 3cm Titanium cone and digital amplifier.

One button at the top controls power, mute, and volume settings.

The Yamaha Cube is available now for £99; you can see more at www.yamaha-uk.com
