Sony has launched a new slim-line digital camera called the Cyber-shot T3. A 5.1 megapixel model and successor to the T1 the main updates include a new 2.5in clear photo LCD, and slimmer body.The camera also features a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom that doesn't protrude from the cameras body.
Start up time will be 1.3 seconds and Sony promises a boosted battery performance of up to 180 shots on one charge. Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo are the storage media used.
The T3 supports PictBridge and offers USB2.0 transfer speeds to a computer. The Cyber-shot T3 will be available throughout Europe in October 2004.
Sony has also launched two further cameras alongside the Cyber-shot T3. The Cyber-shot V3 will be a 7.2 megapixel compact digital camera that offers a 4x optical zoom lens, dual memory card slots for Memory Stick and Compact Flash, RAW data recording, a manual mode and large 2.5in LCD.
While the Sony Cyber-shot L1 aims to be compact enough for a pocket or handbag. It will offer 4.1 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens and 1.5in LCD. It will also offer 7 Scene Selection Modes and support PictBridge printers.
