Surely not another digital radio for the kitchen?

2 September 2004 17:51 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Perstel, the company responible for the first hand-held DAB Digital Radio, has joined the hordes in creating a digital radio for the kitchen called the DR-601. The silver radio offers 100 presets, built-in alarm clock and a six line LCD screen display.

Styled in a very retro design the radio will offer both FM and DAB signals while being powered by either six CM size batteries or via the mains. Those unable to remember what station they have present to the 100 available can opt to use the addition five favourite buttons.

The unit will cost £119 and be yet another kitchen radio in what is already a very overcrowded market.
