We're sorry that for some readers we might be sounding like a broken record, but another day, another battery recall. This time its Toshiba, once again.

Following last week's announcement that the company was recalling 340,000 battery, this week the company is recalling a further 830,000 notebook batteries, made by, you guessed it, Sony Corp.

The company has decided to recall batteries of Dynabook, Qosmio, Satellite Portege and Tecra models following a request from Sony.

Toshiba is the latest company to be affected by the battery recall which is affecting virtually every laptop manufacturer in the industry.

Yesterday Dell, Lenovo and IBM all announced further battery recalls of possibly defective Sony batteries.

So far, nine cases of battery-overheating have been reported.
