Microsoft Live Search puts results at the fingertips of Nokia smartphone users

New deal puts Microsoft software on certain Nokia phones

Nokia has allied itself with Microsoft to put Live Search on its N series and S60 devices.

Live Search capabilities will be integrated into Nokia’s Mobile Search platform to provide search results in 14 different languages, as well as stock quotes, movie times, and “common facts” via Encarta Instant Answers.

Because Mobile Search is available directly from the menu screen, it offers users the ability to access search results more quickly than first navigating to an internet search provider through a browser.

Perhaps this is just the start of tighter integration with Microsoft Live products and services on Nokia smartphones.
