Pinnacle launches compact DVB-T USB device

Record TV programmes on your PC

Pinnacle’s latest products are designed to let users easily record, edit, and store analogue video content in digital format.

The company has introduced the PCTV Dual DVB-T Diversity Stick to turn you notebook computer into a mobile TV. The device is a simple-looking USB stick that features Antenna Diversity technology, which is supposed to maximize reception by using two antenna to combine signals and improve signal strength.

In areas of strong reception, the DVB-T device can also be operated in dual tuner mode for picture-in-picture or simultaneous recording of two channels. To facilitate viewing and recording, the device is bundled with MediaCenter software that features TimeShifting, EPG, and Direct-to-DVD recording.

Recording to the hard drive can be done in various formats, including MPEG-1/2, DivX, or directly to PSP or iPod formats.

The Pinnacle PCTV Dual DVB-T Diversity Stick will be available for £79.99 in October.
