Sony has announced more additions to their Bravia line of flat-panel TVs, which now includes two 52-inch models as well as 40-inch and 32-inch models.

The KDL-52XBR2 and KDL-52XBR3 are the same in all respects except for the frame; the XBR3 is surrounded with a piano-black finish, while the XBR2 comes with a silver bezel that can be swapped for frames of different colours.

Both 52-inch models feature full 1080p HD resolution, although KDL-40S2400 40-inch and KDL-32S2400 32-inch models only support resolutions of up to 768.

The larger sets feature Sony’s Advanced Contrast Enhance, which is supposed to improve backlight levels and offer real-time image processing. They both have a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of up 7000:1 to give a wide dynamic range.

Connectivity options entail 3 HDMI inputs, a built-in tuner, PC input, 2 HD component, 1 S-video and 3 composite inputs.

The XBR3 will retail for around $6800, while XBR2 will be $6500. The KDl-40S2400 will be on sale for around $2600, while the KDL-32S2400 will be $1700.
