The UK and Europe’s launch date and pricing for Nintendo’s Wii has finally been announced.

As usual, the UK’s price is the highest, at £179 when the console goes on sale on 8 December. Japan is getting the console on the 2 December for just £110, while the US receives it before anyone on 18 November for $249 (£132).

In Europe and the UK, 20 games will be available at launch, including Wii Play and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, as well as titles from other publishers, including EA’s Need for Speed: Carbon. Americans, on the other hand, will have up to 30 titles available between the launch and Christmas.

Nintendo is throwing in a wireless Wii Remote, a Nunchuk, and five different Wii Sports games to get gamers started on using the realistic Remote.

Nintendo games will be priced between £34 to £39 in the UK as they’re rolled out in subsequent months.
