NEC try to improve of 3G range with e228

NEC is hoping is latest set of 3G phones will shun the criticism the first few model received. The new phones promise to be smaller than the companies previous attempts yet still offer all the interactivity that 3G offers.

Measuring 129×53×21.5mm and weighing 125g, The e228 like previous models features two high resolution cameras, one on the front and one on the back, while a speakerphone has also been included to allow hands-free video and voice conversations.

The phone is capable of capturing video clips and still images. MMS and store up to thirty 40-channel polyphonic ring tones.

The new e228 handset will be available now. The price will depend on which service plan you sign up with on three.
