Fujifilm add a megapixel to the A600 to create the A700

For the utter novice in the family

Fujifilm has announced the successor to the A600 in its entry-level range of compact cameras.

The A700 doesn’t look much different than the A600, apart from the fact that the developer have crammed in another million pixels to equip it with a 7.3 effective megapixel CCD sensor.

The compact camera has standard features designed for those new to digital cameras and photography.

Features include a 3x optical zoom, a 2.4-inch LCD monitor, an ISO sensitivity range of 100 to 400, and video shooting at 10fps with sound.

There’s no price yet for the UK market, but in the US it’s priced at $200, so British consumers can expect something similar when it hits the shelves in October.
