Solwise has produced a nifty little device, the Solwise HomePlug Ethernet Adaptor that streams a home network over conventional powerlines.

The adaptor provides speeds of up to 200Mbps to support full multimedia home networking, including simultaneous HD and standard definition video distribution, audio, VoIP and broadband, in addition to data networking. It simple uses the powerlines installed in the home.

Technology called Enhanced Quality of Service also provides guaranteed bandwidth allocation for multimedia streaming, TV over IP, higher data rate broadband sharing, online gaming, VoIP, and extending wireless LAN coverage.

It even comes with AES encryption to ensure that the network remains secure. Look out for it in late-October.
