Derbyshire-based Rab is launching the lightweight Generator Smock this autumn. At 340g it is lighter than its hugely popular sister – the Rab Photon - and is a great piece of kit for any outdoor activity.

It uses high-tech PrimaLoft synthetic insulation which is renowned for its softness, quick drying attributes, durability, breathability and wind resistance. PrimaLoft provides the Generator Smock with incomparable warmth for its weight.

Protection from cold wind, blowing snow and damp conditions, Rab’s Generator
Smock uses Pertex Quantum fabric and is ideal for walkers, travellers and
climbers. Features include: kangaroo pocket; chest pocket – which doubles
as a stuff sack (see picture); Lycra cuffs and hem. It comes in sizes S-XXL and is available in black and denim colours.

Available from all good outdoor retailers, expect to pay around £80.
