Napster and Virgin Radio are launching the nation's very first online music chart on national radio. The first chart reflecting the download revolution will be broadcast on the station on starting on Sunday August 29th at 7pm.

The Napster Online Music Chart on Virgin Radio will count down the Top 20 tracks taken each week from Napster's catalogue of over 750,000 songs. The chart will not just be based on permanent downloads but take into account Napster's full-length streams and subscription downloads.

The deal between the two companies follows a long time of partnerships that the music download service is making. Earlier in the year Napster teamed up with Samsung to offer a player dedicated to the service. Other partnerships include Dixons, NTL, and The Sun Newspaper.
