Gaming notebook specialist Rock is teaming up with Intel to take part in the Cannonball 8000 Rally from London to Budapest.

Nick Boardman, the CEO of Rock, and Paul Shenton of Intel UK are driving a Porsche 911 GT3 guided by CoPilot Live on Rock’s limited-edition Cannonball notebook.

Over a hundred cars are joining the Cannonball 8000, which sets off from Earls Court on 15 September. Rock’s gaming bus will be onsite, to give fans a chance to try out the latest Core 2 Duo notebooks, and get a look at the limited edition Rock Pegasus 665 with Cannonball lid decoration.

The Pegasus 665 runs on Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 and an Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 256MB graphics card, comes with 1GB DDR2 RAM and a 120GB hard drive, as well as an 8x Dual Layer DVD writer, integrated WLAN, and features a 15.4-inch X-Glass Screen. It will retail for £1,199.
