Roxio launches Easy Media Creator 9 with Blu-ray support

Software encompasses a range of media editing options

Roxio’s latest upgrade to its Easy Media Creator software incorporates support for Blu-ray recording and playback.

Easy Media Creator 9 also features new mobile media support for portable video players like the iPod, and Sony PSP, as well as mobile phones. Users can upload selected content direct to their multimedia mobiles through a USB or Bluetooth connection, and can transfer DivX content and recorded video from a DVD or HDD recorder to portable media players easily.

Thanks to Blu-ray support, users can simply burn data to up to 50GB dual layer discs, or create large media projects across multiple BD discs.

Audio Capture Widget is a small application that runs on your desktop, ready to record streamed audio, and even feature Pre-Roll, so that you can record audio before you’ve press record.

Users who playback audio with Creator 9 can also try out AutoMix, which creates playlists automatically with songs matching a “seed” track.

Video editing tools help to product high-quality videos from camcorders.

The software is available this month from retail stores or direct from Roxio at its website for £60. Roxio’s previous customers may be eligible for reduced-price upgrade.
