Nokia is about to launch an enhanced version of its Nokia 8800 luxury slider phone according to reports on the web.
The new phone, which is also rumoured to be used in the new James Bond movie Casino Royale staring Daniel Craig will be re-named the 8800 Sirocco and feature a 2 megapixel camera.
Like its predecessor the new 8800 is expected to offer a 262k colour screen display, 256MB of Flash memory, tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth with wireless stereo audio, MP3 ringtones and a digital music player.
The main difference is an increase from a SVGA digital camera to a 2 megapixel variant and a slight tweak and redesign of the keyboard and navigator control.
Currently Nokia sells the 8800 on its UK online shop sim free for £535 inc VAT, so you can expect the Sirocco version to sell for around that price when it launches, and if it is featured in the new Bond movie, expect them to sell out like hot cakes.
