Burnout 5 in development

EA has announced that its popular video game title Burnout is racing to PS3 and Xbox360.

Burnout 5 will give gamers the license to wreak havoc in Paradise City, a seamless racing battleground that lets drivers get on with the business of racing, rather than navigating menus of locations.

Every inch of Paradise City will be engineered to give drivers the chance to rack up points on their license by crashing at intersections and collecting moving violatiosn.

When gamers collect enough violations, they’ll be pitted against the city’s most infamous burners, where it’s survival of the fittest.

Burnout 5 is in development by Criterion Games, and will ship some time in 2007 under the EA brand.
