RV that stows a car goes on show in Germany

You know like Knight Rider

While RVs might not be as big in the UK as other places in the world, you can’t but help stare at this monstrosity with some shock and awe.

Apart from all the usual mod cons including spacious dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a couple of bedrooms, the Volkner Mobil mobile home comes complete with its own garage for your car.

As if it were straight out of Knight Rider, the huge motor home, which is based on a 53 seater Mercedes Benz or Volvo bus chassis with tail engine, uses the space normally associated with where you keep you luggage to stow a sports car such as the Smart roadster, BMW mini Cooper Cabriolet, BMW Z 4, Mercedes Benz SLK according to the company.

The idea is that when you hit the city, you've still got another car to run around town or go to the supermarket without having to uproot you mobile home every time.

Those looking for something a little less sporty, can opt for one of the company's other models that allows you to park a Smart car in the boot.

The latest take on mobile living is on display at the International Caravan Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany, where it will remain until September 3.
