Toshiba announces new series of high-speed SD cards

Toshiba is launching two new series of SD cards that achieve the fastest transfer rates and read-write times possible.

Class 4 supports 4MB per second transfer rates, while Class 6 supports 6MB per second.

Toshiba’s new high-speed series of cards will offer a maximum data transfer of 5MB per second, while the ultra high-speed cards will clock in as high as 20MB per second.

Set to launch in the UK in November, the cards will come in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB versions, and are designed for applications like video recording.
