Fujifilm has tweaked the features of its flagship FinePix S9500 prosumer to create its replacement, the S9600.

In addition to improving the general image quality, Fujifilm has also improved the inbuilt flash performance for more natural-looking images.

Other refinements include increased image sharpness, a larger, 2-inch LCD screen, and autofocus up to 40 percent faster in low light.

Specifications of the camera that haven’t changed from its predecessor include a 10.7x optical zoom that reaches 300mm in a 35mm equivalent range, a 9MP, Super CCD HR sensor, support for xD and Compact Flash cards, and ISO from 80 to 1600.
