Microsoft has achieved a coup in gaining exclusive deals for both EA’s FIFA 07 and Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 6 on the Xbox360.Neither game will be available on other next-general consoles, including Sony’s PS3, for at least a year after their releases, which is set for 29th September and October, respectively.
At the press conference at the Leipzig Games Convention where it was announced that Microsoft had won the exclusive 12-months rights, Microsoft Games Europe CEO announced, “Xbox360 owns football”.
Versions of both of the games will be available on current-generation consoles, including both of Sony’s PlayStations, but Xbox360 will be the only option for games wanting to get their hands on the next-generation versions. Gaming, Xbox 360, Sports games, Microsoft, EA, Konami
