5 August 2004 17:59 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Benq has launched one of the world's smallest MP3 players in the UK today. The Joybee 102R measures just 4.1cm in diameter and 0.8cm thick and weights just 16g.

The new player comes in three different memory sizes - 64Mn, 128Mb and 256Mb and is powered by a custom made lithium Ion battery. BenQ is promising a 10 hour battery life. Transfering files is via drag and drop and the USB2.0 connection speed should make for a fast transfer.

The BenQ Joybee 102 will be available in the UK in August. The expected selling price of the BenQ Joybee 102R 128Mb model is £89.99
