Fancy shelling out £112,330 on a new garage?

Citroen has unveiled what it believes is the garage of the future, designed by renowned architects Neutral and which covers more than 50m square. Drawing inspiration from the pronounced architectural forms of the Citroën C6, the garage is formed by three solid strands, which create the "skeleton" of the main building.

Constructed out of light transmitting concrete with transparent sliding doors that allow entry from both front and rear, the building securely encloses the vehicle but at the same time allows it to be displayed to the passer-by.

The transparent sliding plates have been constructed of reinforced, environmentally friendly polycarbonate sheets with coloured LCD layers allowing for opacity at the flick of a switch.

According to Neutral’s Christian Grou, the garage “encourages a visual dialogue between the inside and outside, and between the car and its environment as a result of the use of materials of different transparencies”.

That’s all very well, but you wouldn’t get one for your Punto, would you?
