Firefox 2.0 release delayed by a month

Bugs still need ironing out

Mozilla has pushed back the release of the eagerly-anticipated version 2.0 of Firefox.

The software is now set to go live on 23 October because there are still coding kinks to be ironed out.

Developers are still working on new features like a spell checker and anti-phishing filters, which wouldn’t have been ready by the original 26 September release date.

According to one report, a new bookmark and history system has not made it into version 2.0.
