We all went "ooh" when the Acer Iconia Tab A200 got official earlier this month but then went "boo" when we found out it was a Tegra 2 machine and not a much anticipated Tegra 3 flavoured one.
But our Kal-El Iconia expectations are due to be met soon, as the Acer Iconia Tab A700 has been rumbled in Russia.
Sporting the latest Nvidia mobile action inside, the 10.1-inch tab boasts a healthy 1920x1200 resolution, SIM, micro-USB, micro-HDMI, Bluetooth 3.0 and audio jack fun too. There's said to be a 5-megapixel camera that can shoot HD video on the textured back and a built-in flash to boot.
Weighing in at 650g and with a battery life of 10 hours the Acer Iconia Tab A700 is set to steal the show in Vegas next month at CES. Actually, steal might be a bit strong - but it is set to make an appearance. Not quite Elton John then, more like Matt Goss.
Nothing official yet but there's murmurs of a March 2012 release.
Pocket-lint will, of course, be all over CES like an itchy rash, so be sure to check back for all the coverage come show time.
