Google has announced a slew of updates for their social network, Google+, claiming to have addressed some of the most frequently asked for solutions.

One of the major changes, announced via the Google Blog, is the ability to change the "volume" of those in your circles. The idea is to let you cut down on the background noise so you're only seeing the updates you really want. This will let you, for example, cut down on the trash talk from your work colleagues, and give your friends room to be heard.

The second update is to notifications, meaning they are easier to decipher and offer a little more information. You'll also be able to see how your posts have been shared or +1'd at a glance.

The third update is a reworking of photos, making it easier to focus on the photos themselves, so you spend less time navigating around. You can make a photo full-screen at the press of a button, and new enhanced tagging should see you linking things up smoother and faster than before. 

Finally Google+ has also updated some of the management tools for the Google+ Pages, which give brands more visibility. You can now easily assign named managers to administer pages as well as keep track of those engaging with your pages.
