Canon launches new entry-level DVD camcorder

Canon has launched an additional model to its camcorder range, the entry-level DC95.
The new entry-level DVD (-R/-RW) camcorder is capable of recording video straight to disc and according to Canon is designed for widescreen recording with the camcorder’s CCD amble to capture panoramic movies perfectly suited to playback a widescreen TV.
The camera also features one-push button to choose between 16:9 and standard 4:3 shooting, features a 25x optical (770x digital) zoom lens with Electronic Image Stabilisation and variable zoom speeds and Canon's DIGIC DV image processor and a 2.7 inch widescreen colour LCD screen (112,000 pixels).
Canon has said the DC95 will be available from August 2006. The price is expected to sold on the high street for around the £300 mark.
