Some toys, over time, have managed to reach classic status, spanning the generations with excellent design and the ability to engage children despite all the trappings of the modern age.

Bigtrak is just one of these classic children's toys and is bound to go down extremely well with any small child. And it won't break the bank either as Bigtrak is on sale at Argos for £17.49.

The much-loved toy has 6 wheels and can be controlled through the 23-button keypad, enabling it to move around the home delivering Apples and firing its front-mounted blue photon beam at any pets that get in its way. You'll also be able store previous routes with a 16 preset function.

On Pocket-lint we covered the launch of the Bigtrak Jr, and even pitted old against new in our Bigtrak vs Bigtrak Jr face off.
