Denon has released a reasonably-priced DVD player to go with its range of home cinema receivers.

The DVD-1730 features upscaling technology to reach near-HD picture quality via HDMI technology.

It supports the latest in flat-screen TV as well as older screens with progressive scan technology and CRT TVs.

The player reads most digital disc media, including CDR/RW, MP3 and JPEG CDs, as well as DivX discs.

The Denon DVD-1730 can be picked up for around £150.
