Pocket-lint and leading augmented reality platform Aurasma have teamed to offer a rather unique exclusive advent calendar this Christmas. Using the AR application and former App of the Day Aurasma Lite, which is free to download for iPhone (4 and above), iPad 2 and iPod touch (4th Generation), you can see a newly available 3D-rendered Christmas animation each day, simply by pointing your device at each correctly numbered square.
You can also unlock extra daily content for the app by tapping on the screen during viewing. So you should bookmark this page or download the full-size calendar to your desktop via this link and enjoy the surprises each and every day. It'll even work if you print it out (in colour) and pin it up somewhere.
Happy Christmas!

Unfortunately, while Aurasma Lite is also available for Android devices, that version is not capable of viewing the 3D content at present. You will be able to view streamed video content on specific triggers, just not our advent calendar, sorry.
