JVC has released two new dual-layer DVDs for extra-long recording times.The first is a single-sided 8cm DVD-R Dual Layer Discs that yield up to 55 minutes of recording time for DVD camcorders.
The second media is an 8x single-sided 12cm DVD-R that can handle up to 215 minutes of continuous recording on the 8.5GB disc.
The discs are made using JVC’s “inverse stack” fabrication, which creates discs that offer “superior quality and high reliability with excellent stability for production”, according to JVC.
The 8cm discs are available from September; the 12cm version from October.
