Shopcade is an innovative Facebook app that allows friends to share and buy products, generating cash through purchases made via the app.
The idea is that the more social you are with your shopping, the more money you make. Crucially anything bought makes money for both you and the friend whose profile you viewed it on.
Different categories of products can "trend", allowing you to pick up on the must have piece of kit in whatever your interests are. As it stands there are over 20,000 brands involved in the setup, including things like iTunes and Barnes & Noble.
The shop front you create by the products you're interested in is supposed to act a bit like a Facebook profile, in that it reflects what you like. You can even post what you want for your birthday via the app.
Whilst in its early stages, this could be a rather tasty start up and one to watch in the future. It nails the social side of shopping that Amazon has never quite managed.
