Excited about getting your hands on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime and all of its Honeycomb quad-core goodness?

If so, prepare to turn your inner excitement up to 11 as Nvidia has released this demo showing of the capabilities of its Tegra 3 power, on a Transformer Prime running Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

It's not the most in-depth demo that you're likely to see, but it does show off some of the nifty new ICS features and demonstrates the forthcoming Asus hybrid tablet smoothly handling 1080p video and big graphic gaming.

Coming in at just 8.3mm thick, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime sports a 10.1-inch, 1280x800 IPS display and, as well as the new Kal-El processing power, it packs an Nvidia GeForce GPU, with 5th companion core for low power, 1GB of RAM and your choice of 32 or 64GB of memory.

Connectivity is Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and HDMI, but you'll need the keyboard dock for the USB and the SD card reader. In terms of cameras you'll get a 1.2-megapixel sensor at the front and an 8-megapixel unit with autofocus to the rear, with flash and F/2.4 aperture.

It will launch with Android 3.2 Honeycomb although it will be upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich "soon".

The Transformer Prime, bundled with the mobile keyboard dock, will cost £499 in the UK from early January 2012.
