Historically, visitors to the Tower of London were pretty much guaranteed a frosty reception.

And not much has changed it would seem. Although from this weekend, you’ll be able to warm yourself with the thought of a trip home rather than a trip to the chopping block. And without the sudden, swift and permanent loss of height too.

Seasonal skating in London has really taken off in recent years, with rinks popping up this Christmas at Canary Wharf, Hampton Court Palace and Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, as well as this one at the historic Tower.

If there’s a more picturesque place to skate in the capital, we can’t really think if one, and we reckon this should make the perfect addition to any festive trip planned to the UK’s number one Christmas shopping destination this Yuletide.
