The rumour mill just got real. What was once a careless whisper now looks to be a genuine product. Yes camera fans, we're talking the about the forthcoming Panasonic GX1 which has just been pictured for the first time.
If this is your first acquaintance with the GX1, allow Pocket-lint to introduce you. This is the camera that is touted as the Micro Four Thirds successor to the GF1; a pro version of the popular GF line and is the same snapper that you might have heard mentioned on the rumour mill as the GF7, GF8 or the GFPro.
Leaked specs suggest we're looking at a camera with a look not unlike the Lumix GF1, a 16-megapixel sensor, a new image processing engine, high ISO at 12800, a "very fast" AF920k touchscreen, an LVF2 external viewfinder with 1,440,000 dots and a Lumix GX 14-42mm kit lens.
It will apparently be available in two colours; black and silver.
The rumour mill initially kicked around suggestions of a 28 October release which has since proved inaccurate. Now the suggestion is that an 8 November launch could be on the cards.
Whatever the actual release date turns out to be, expect Pocket-lint to be all over the news like an ugly bloke in full costume on a sexy lady at a Halloween party.
