Gear4 has launched the SonicBoom compact speaker system for the Sony PSP so that gamers can enjoy high-quality audio effects for their gaming.

The SonicBoom compact 2.1 stereo speaker system features an ActiveBass sub-woofer in order to flood the room with sound.

The PSP can be either docked to the system for recharging and listening to saved audio tracks, or connected to the speakers a 2m-long cable which enables remote listening while playing.

The speaker system also connects to other devices like iPods and PCs via headphone sockets, and will be on sale for around £50.
