Sonic Solutions has come up with software designed to help online video distributors protect content by burning copy-protected DVDs that are able to play in standalone DVD players.Roxio Venue is built on Sonic’s AuthorScript DVD on Demand engine, which supports managed recording of media using Content Scramble System, the same copy protection found on commercially-released DVDs.
The software is first being made available to online entertainment service providers for evaluation.
The AuthorScript DVD-on-Demand provides a solution for digital distribution, includes a DRM gateway for secure export of content, and is able to engineer burning of extra content like special features and additional language tracks.
DVD-on-Demand may suddenly be a bit more popular with online video content providers, thanks to this DRM software. Software, Mac software, Backup Software, Sonic, Audio
