So yesterday we showed you how you could colour your life in, but what would you say if we told you that you could now actually own a colour? Yep, little old you can actually possess your very own hue, tint or shade.

www.ownacolour.com is a clever site from UNICEF and Dulux, designed to raise money for the charity’s global efforts to help children in disaster zones and crisis hit areas around the world.

It’s a bit like owning a star, or a crater on the Moon, but a lot more useful as you can share your colour on your favourite social networks and even watch how your chosen shade adds up with the current colour trends. All at the same time as saving lives.

We love this idea. It’s a simple, yet creative way to get people to dip into their pockets, and with the minimum donation just £1, you can pick up your very own colour for peanuts.
