Electronic Arts has begun to shut down its servers for some of its top titles.One round of shutdowns began on 1 August, and culled titles including Fifa 2005.
1 October will see another round of closures, which will see Madden NFL 2005 shut down.
Thirty-four servers for 14 games are set to be shut down; most of the games affected are sports games, although Need for Speed: Underground 2 is one of the few non-games titles being closed online.
