Bang & Olufsen has announced that it has "made over" its Form 2 headphones to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic cans.
Back in 1986, when they first landed, the Form 2 headphones probably looked like a glimpse of the future. Now they look like a glimpse of the past. But that's a good thing - they're retro-tastic. Go ask the Nathan Barley-likes around Shoreditch, they'll tell you that retro funk is cool.
The Form 2 headphones are so stylish, in fact, that they featured in New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1991.
The semi-open headphones have a square design that seems to merge into the headband but still manage to pack dynamic drive units for a "well defined sound".
"I never leave my house without my Bang & Olufsen Form 2 headphones and I even had a pair custom-made to match the colours of the Danish flag," said Bang & Olufsen’s president and CEO, Tue Mantoni. "I recommend these headphones to anybody with a passion for sound."
Got a passion for sound? Good stuff. You'll be interested to know that the Bang & Olufsen Form 2 headphones are available now. They're priced around £100.
