So you went out and brought yourself a Mac mini on the basis that Pocket-lint's resident Hunter Gatherer awarded it the coveted "Hot Product" label.

Well done you.

But we bet it looks kind of rubbish hooked up to your old monitor, and the bad news is that it's going to cost you £899 for an Apple Thunderbolt Display, or at least £500 for one of the old 24-inch Cinema Display monitors.

Luckily, ViewSonic is on hand with its awfully named VX2451MHP-LED monitor that has been "designed to compliment an Apple Mac environment".

The VX2451MHP-LED is a 24-inch skinny monitor, measuring 3.6cm thick, and offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1. There's also HDMI 1.3 action, a DVI input and Full 1080p HD resolution.

Available for £169, it's a darn sight cheaper than the official Apple displays. It's out now.
