Burberry has offered its Twitter followers the chance to grab a glimpse of its new clothing collection via the brand's own feed, before even those sitting in the front row at London Fashion Week see them.

The brand ran a "tweetwalk" alongside its own catwalk show which saw plentiful posts showing high resolution pictures of models wearing new clothes.

Burberry has also opted to stream the event in HD from both its own website and Facebook page. The decision to mount the "tweetwalk" was announced this morning by Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey.

The technical innovation continues with British photographer Mike Kus adopting the Burberry Instagram account and filling it with his shots of the show.

Exciting goings on on the tech front, especially when you think it is a show that is fundamentally about fashion. Burberry has been an innovator on the social media front and continues to flex its muscles at London Fashion Week.
