Samsung Cameras has announced the launch of the Digimax L70, a 7 megapixel digital camera that is just 17.5mm thick in the UK.

Although news of the camera surfaced in May, Samsung has officially announced the camera in the UK today.

The new camera also boasts a 2.5-inch LCD display which automatically adjusts to the environment you are in, helping to prolong battery life.

Other features include a 3x optical zoom, and a nine button touch and click control pad. This control pad enables access to the cameras photo settings including a high sensitivity ISO 1000 and Samsung’s unique Advanced Shake Reduction technology.

The L70 is expected to be available in September, for a retail price of about £230.
