Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray coming soon to Vodafone and O2

Sony Ericsson always said that we could expect the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray in the UK in Q3 and it looks like the company is going to keep its word with O2 and Vodafone both listing the phone as coming in September.

The phone, which was first announced in July, will come with Android 2.3.4 and boasts the same Bravia engine found on the Xperia Arc launched earlier in the year.

Playing with the phone at the time we noted that the new screen technology is clearly visible with a vibrant 3.3-inch display that is not only crisp, but has an incredible viewing angle. The "reality display" 854x480 pixel resolution definitely helps add to the phone's media and browsing experience.

It has an 8.1-megapixel camera with Exmor R technology for crisp and clear photos in low light conditions, and HD video functionality.

No word on when exactly in September we'll get to see the phone, but if you’ve been holding out since the start of the school summer holidays it seems your wait is almost over.
