The Samsung WB750 has been launched at IFA; bringing plenty of zoom, Samsung's special CMOS sensor and what looks to be a pretty nifty burst function.

Straight into the specs, and the camera carries a 12.5-megapixel BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor, which should significantly reduce image noise and distortion; whilst 18x optical with 24x Smart Zoom technology, makes the WB750 the longest ever zoom in Samsung’s compact camera portfolio.

There is, of course, Full HD video for decent detail and Samsung has also brought in its Dual Capture function which seamlessly unites both stills and video capture, allowing you to take 10-megapixel photos while simultaneously recording video in full 1080p HD quality - not bad.

Mr Myoung Sup Han, senior vice president and head of the Digital Imaging Business, Samsung Electronics, said: "Its portable design makes it the ideal travel companion, putting even more of the world at the consumers’ fingertips and ensuring it can do justice to the most memorable journeys. The unique features of the WB750 offer a rare combination of quality, fun and creativity, particularly for those on the move."

Not only is it portable, but it also has the ability to capture stills at 10 frames per second in high-speed continuous mode.

Other features include Action Panorama, Live Panorama and 3D Panorama functions, whilst there are a whole host of special effects which include: Oil paint, Cartoon, Ink Painting Color and Cross Filter.

No price or releasedate info from IFA just yet, but we hope to let you know soon.
