Asda is pulling out the big guns as it's just announced an offer that is set to get the pulses of many an Apple iPod fan racing - not only is it selling the 4th generation 8GB iPod for £164, but it's also throwing in a £15 iTunes voucher for nowt.
Admittedly, the iPod is available elsewhere for a similar price but the iTunes voucher does sweeten the deal somewhat - though probably not a reason to buy one if you weren't already in the market.
If you're a fan of the iPod anyway you probably won't need reminding off the various "magical" features of the device, but we're going to anyway - so there. The latest version of the personal media player gets FaceTime, a Retina Display, video recording and Game Center.
Ryan Longstaff, Asda’s audio expert, said: “This is a truly amazing device and perhaps the definitive gadget. The latest iPod touch combines features that a few years ago would have required equipment that cost thousands of pounds. We’re delighted to be able to offer this exceptional deal to our customers and we’re sure that they’ll fly off the shelves.”
So there you go, bargain of a lifetime? Maybe not. Although it certainly beats being thrashed about the face and neck with a wet halibut.
