It’s official. We love Germany. It’s probably the only other country (apart from the UK) where anybody would, not only think that this was funny, but they’d actually go to the trouble of turning a mad idea into a twisted reality.

Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, those are bowling balls made to look like you’re gouging the eyes out of a severed head.

Genius. And it’s just about the only thing that would get us into a place where you have to wear shoes that five thousand other people have worn before you. Apart from maybe the “buy one get four free house beers” night at our local Superbowl. Mind you, the house beer is probably three parts antifreeze anyway...

It’s a collaboration between a TV horror channel and the spray gun artist Oliver Paass, which has been stealthily introduced to bowling alleys across Germany.

We love it.
