LogMeIn Ignition has just had a very welcome price drop as the popular remote access app is now availble for a bargain £9.07 on Android and £10.49 on iOS for a limited time.

Despite the price drop from £20+ you may think that a tenner is still asking a lot for a mobile phone app, however you do get a fair bit for your cash.

LogMeIn Ignition works in tandem with Windows or mac software, thereby turning you mobile into a portable PC - well, access files and your machine's desktop at the very least. A nice touch is the ability to transfer files from your desktop to your phone/tablet via the drag and drop feature.

It's a doddle to setup and all the software needed can be downloaded from the LogmeIn website, with security is taken care of through username and password. It's worth noting that to use Logmein Ignition you'll have to have your PC turned on, but that said you can also boot up your PC from the mobile app so long as it has power.

Both can be downloaded in the usual way from the Android Market and iTunes.
