The latest version of Symbian (yes, Symbian, it isn't dead just yet) - Anna - that was announced by Nokia back in April is finally seeing some device action, rolling out to the Nokia N8, C7, E7 and C6-01.

Anna comes with a number of new features and improvements over previous Symbian^3 iterations including fresh new icons, improved text input thanks to a portrait QWERTY keyboard, and a faster web browser. There's also a draggable homescreen, new social network features and device encryption functionality.

Ovi Maps has also been refreshed including simpler and quicker search and new public transportation routes. It also gets predictive search and better social media functionality.

Nokia also recently announced that even older Symbian models aren't off of its radar just yet, with updates being rolled out for pre-Symbian^3 devices.

So Anna begins....you can grab it from through the software update module of Ovi Suite or via an OTA update.
