Whether you're a fully fledged and paid up member of the Apple fan-club or on a mission to dispel the "myth", with the anti-Apple brigade there's no denying one thing - the Cupertino company makes shiny gadgets that look kinda purty compared to your other tech.
So that's why Iomega has come up with its Mac Companion Hard Drive, which is just about shiny enough to sit alongside your Apple machines and do them justice.
Or rather on your Apple machines. The iMac that is - it is the perfect size to sit on the base of the AIO monster, or indeed an Apple Cinema Display. And it has the same silver and black finish so it will look all Appley on your desk.
The truth is though, it's an Iomega 7200 RPM 3.5-inch hard drive that comes in 2 or 3TB varieties and packs two FireWire 800 ports, one USB 2.0 port and a two port integrated USB 2.0 hub. It also has a 2.1 Amp for its USB options, meaning it can charge your iPad as well.
Sadly, there's no Thunderbolt connectivity on board though.
Out now, the Iomega Mac Companion Hard Drive 2TB version is priced at £183 - the 3TB one is £275.
